ABOUT WAVERLY
In 2022, the Boys & Girls Club of Albany opened an after-school site at Waverly Elementary, offering services to an otherwise underserved community. Currently the programs are run out of the gymnasium, cafeteria, and stage, and the spaces offered have limited the amount of children that can attend programs. With a new building, we can increase our capacity to more than 150 students, and give them a Clubhouse to call their own.
EXPANSION PROJECT
By moving from the limited amount of space in the school building to a dedicated facility on the school grounds, the Club can expand its service capacity. This 3,000 sq. ft. space will house an Education Room, a Games Room, and a Tech Lab creating a hub for mentoring, arts, technology, and community building.
